Anarchism vs Primitivism

"The only ones who felt that people should live like primitives were those capitalists whose desire to keep business costs down resulted in primitive living conditions for their wage slaves."

(From Anarchism vs Primitivism)

Personally, I am sympathetic to some of the issues raised by primitivists, but do not find myself in agreement with their solutions.

The entire pamphlet is here;

http://libcom.org/library/anarchism-vs-primitivism

Apparently this cannot be posted in the main article because spammers were including links to libcom.org - which means the site is blocked by LJ.

I'm trying to get this resolved.

If anarcho-primitivism was the only way to get rid of the state and the monetary market system it props up and save the planet from the destructive course it is currently marching toward then I would embrace it in a heartbeat.

However, I am still hopeful we can find a way to do the above while still preserving the better aspects of modern civilization.

A good answer; it treats political choices as ordered preferences rather than absolutes.
